Go to the Google homepage or the Google docs app directly. On the top right corner of the homepage, you will be able to locate the ‘Grid’ icon. From here, choose the ‘Docs’ option.
This will open a new window, here you can either open a blank document or a pre-existing one.
Once you are on the Google docs page, select the text in the document that you wish to turn into a block quote and then you will be able to see a panel of headings at the top. From this, click on the 'Format' icon.
This will automatically open a drop-down list. From this list, select the ‘Align and indent’ options.
This will lead you to an extended list that opens to the right side.
From here, click on the ‘Increase indent’ option or simply click Ctrl+] buttons on the keyboard.
Now in the next step, move the right margin to the 6-inch indicator using the mouse.
